The on-line gallery DEGREE52 is created (as a virtual on-line presence) in 2010 by the visual artist Elitsa Baramova to present contemporary jewellery. The name of the brand flirts with the fact  that the average body temperature of birds is 52 degree, thematizing  the relationship body – spirit. The works are grouped in collections either after their exit-material or after the topic. Some of them (brooches, coll. “Daily Round Rituals”) have double function: as accessory and as small plastic art.

The jewellery is handmade and in limited series; materials: tekstolit, glass, resins, silver hallmark 925 (the hooks and other earrings details too), cuprum, sheets of gold, semiprecious stones. The creations of DEGREE52 have unusual prototypes (capacitors, computerboards, clocks and other ticking devices, batteries, turnings, elements of live nature etc.).Deconstructed and devoid of their utilitarian context, the various elements lose their old function and fragmentation, 

creating a new harmonious entity. It designates dialogically the symbolism, having arisen  from these new "kinships of choice”.
